Energetic Breathwork (Pranayama) Session 1: Emotional Balance

This beginner to intermediate session is focused on releasing stress, anxiety, and for general emotional balance. We'll be using three styles of breath with 50-second breath holds. That breath hold may be too long for you initially, so if you need to exhale before time, take a sip of air, exhale, and drop back into the breath hold. This practice features: breath of fire, somatic breath, and shamanic breathing, along with the Hridaya Mudra, which helps release emotional tension, stress, and anger. If you feel light headed or uncomfortable, place your hands on the ground to support yourself and pause the practice. It’s best NOT to do this practice directly after eating due to the navel pumping. If this session makes you feel uncomfortable, discontinue the session. Honor yourself: do not push yourself past your intuitive boundaries.
