Energetic Breathwork (Pranayama) Session 2: Stress & Anxiety Relief

This beginner to intermediate session is focused on releasing stress, anxiety, and for the release of endocannabinoid molecules, which help with pain management. We'll be using three styles of breath with 50-second breath holds. That breath hold may be too long for you initially, so if you need to exhale before time, take a sip of air, exhale, and drop back into the breath hold. This practice features: breath of fire, somatic breath, and tummo breathing, along with the Kalesvara Mudra, which helps calm the mind, reduce anxious thoughts, helps to overcome addictive behaviors, and cools the temper. If you feel light headed or uncomfortable, place your hands on the ground to support yourself and pause the practice. It’s best NOT to do this practice directly after eating due to the navel pumping. If this session makes you feel uncomfortable, discontinue the session. Honor yourself: do not push yourself past your intuitive boundaries.
